1. The lyrics ‘너의 마음속 깊은 어딘가, 여전한 소년이 있어’ (Somewhere deep inside your heart, there's an unchanging young boy) sounds like a reference to the song ‘Epilogue: Young Forever' where they say:

영원히 소년이고 싶어 나
I want to be a young boy forever

2. In 우린 발을 멈추지 않아, "our legs don't stop [moving forward]" sounds like a reference to the song Run BTS from the same album as they talk about constantly running to go forward in the song.

 

3. It's a little hard to express the word 낯간지럽다 in English but what they mean to say in this lyric is that hearing the label ‘best’ is still unfamiliar and they still feel awkward and conscience-stricken on hearing that.

 

4. In the lyric ‘난 변화는 많았지만, 변함은 없었다 해’ the words 변화 (byeonhwa) and 변함 (byeonham) are used that both translate to change but the nuance is slightly different.

변화 (byeonhwa) → changes that are bound to occur overtime such as in nature, ageing, maturity, etc.

변함 (byeonham) → changes that occur by one's will, such as changes in personalities, intentions, opinions, etc.
 

5. RM (Kim Namjoon) used to be an underground rapper by the name of Runch Randa at 13 before he joined BTS. He has released a lot of songs pre-debut as Runch Randa.
