Hoseok (stage name j-hope) released the song MORE as a pre-release track for his solo album 'Jack In The Box' on July 1st, 2022.

Hoseok also wrote a letter about the song and album release BTS Weverse. The letter provides details about the personal feelings of the artist towards the album, the song, and the fans. The translation for the letter is provided at the end of the lyrics.

1. 1. 물 만난 물고기 is a saying for that someone is in their element like a fish in the water, the ‘met’ suggest that they get into the element.

2. きっと勝つ (kitto katsu) in Japanese means “you will surely win”. In Japan, there's a culture of gifting KitKats for wishing well. Here, it might be a possible play on words with KitKat.

3. ‘Dali’ while being a reference to the artist Salvador Dali, is probably also a wordplay with the Korean ’달리’ which means ’different’. So the alternate translation for the lyric would be:

Aside from the song release
After the pandemic started, the song(s) I was conceptualizing is complete, I came to show it to you guys and make you listen so coolly, therefore I think I feel so great.
It's the feeling of seeing the result of the efforts (I've made) so far!!
This (feeling) could be my own personal satisfaction as well !!!.. heh

I'm not sure how (the song) has been heard (by you guys) but always to my ego, I want to show you even cooler things, and as BTS j-hope, it seems that I always had the childish desire about what I can show as an individual!!!

And seems that it's today when I got those (of my) wishes..!

To all the ARMYs around the world who took in that outpouring of (my) emotions, I feel thankful thoughts and somewhat apologetic thoughts (towards you) as well!!!

The album this time is expressing those kinds of j-hope's emotions overall!!!!!!!

Starting from today, I gradually plan to show you guys those emotions of j-hope's in diverse ways!!!
